DURBIN/NANCSH SEXUAL HEALTH
NURSE OF THE YEAR
The annual DURBIN/NANCSH SEXUAL HEALTH NURSE OF THE YEAR AWARD is awarded to a nurse working in the field of contraception and sexual health, who has made a significant contribution within the specialty. There is a prize of £1000 plus a prestigious trophy.
You may become a member of NANCSH at the same time as applying for this prize. Details of how to apply for this award are now available here!
CRITERIA
The applicant must be a member of NANCSH. If a group of nurses apply, at least one of the group must be a NANCSH member.
A prize of £1000 will be awarded to the nurse or group of nurses who have
been judged to have made the most valuable contribution to patient care within the
contraception and sexual health field. The work must have been
carried out in the last 18 months, be innovative, original and must demonstrate accepted good practice. The
submitted piece of work must not be in receipt of an award from another source, and
if successful in winning the Durbin/NANCSH prize, cannot be submitted for another
award.
APPLICATION
A 500 word typed description of your work to accompany your completed application form. The application form must be signed by your manager confirming that you have been actively involved in the work submitted.

The winner of our 5th DURBIN/NANCSH SEXUAL HEALTH NURSE OF THE YEAR AWARD is Vivienne Redfern, sexual health nurse at Styal Prison, for her work in the development of sexual health services at this womens' prison.
